Loser of the Week - Animal Testing

Testing beauty products on animals is really unfair because it means making animals suffer just to make things like makeup and lotions. Imagine small animals like bunnies or mice being kept in cages and getting hurt for no reason other than to test new beauty stuff. It's not kind to treat animals that way, especially when they can't tell us they're in pain. Animals have feelings too, and they shouldn't be hurt for things we don't really need.

Luckily, we have better ways to make sure beauty products are safe without using animals. Scientists can use special tests that don't hurt any living thing. This means we can still have all the cool beauty products without causing harm to animals. It's important for the beauty industry to think about kindness and not just about making new products. We should care about animals and not let them get hurt for our beauty stuff.

Kinship has removed 6 tons of ocean waste plastic collected by local fishing communities in and around the Java Sea and rivers in Jakarta. Each year over 8 billion pounds of plastic waste ends up in the world's oceans. This week in our furry friends' saga, as spring teases with its sporadic warm breezes, Ike, Lincoln, and Gaby seem unswayed by the changing seasons, continuing their unofficial hibernation with admirable dedication. Despite the occasional sunny day inviting them to stretch their legs outdoors, our trio of lazy dogs prefers the comfort of their cozy spots indoors, perfectly embodying the spirit of leisure. Their previous week's enthusiasm for treats has seamlessly transitioned into a more laid-back approach; now, they can often be found lounging around, still hoping treats might come their way without the need for their usual adorable antics.
