👀 What did I buy this week?👀
Don’t tell Cameraman! WAIT!!! Go ahead and tell Cameraman because I didn’t buy anything this week!!! With him gone, I realized just how much he does around here. Balancing my usual routine with his tasks left me with no time to shop. But don't worry, I’ve got a list brewing in my head of potential buys, so let’s keep that between us. Next week might be a big haul, so stay tuned!

Loser of the Week - MLM Brands
Multi-level marketing (MLM) skincare brands often present themselves as lucrative business opportunities, but the reality for many participants is far less rosy. One of the primary issues with MLMs is that a significant majority of salespeople, known as distributors, end up losing money. The business model relies heavily on recruitment rather than direct product sales, creating a structure where only those at the very top of the pyramid can earn substantial profits. According to a study by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), about 99% of people who join MLMs end up losing money due to the high costs of purchasing products, training materials, and other expenses required to stay active in the scheme.
Furthermore, MLM skincare brands often use aggressive and misleading marketing tactics to attract new recruits. They promise substantial earnings and a flexible lifestyle, but these claims rarely materialize for most participants. The pressure to constantly recruit new members and sell products can lead to unethical practices, such as exaggerating the benefits of skincare products or downplaying the risks associated with their use. This not only harms the financial well-being of the distributors but also damages the credibility of the skincare industry as a whole. As a result, potential customers may become skeptical of legitimate skincare brands due to the negative associations created by MLM scandals and failures.

About the Dogs
This week, our furry friends have had their ups and downs. Ike is still feeling the effects of his backyard escapades and is showing a persistent limp, so we've scheduled a visit to the vet today to make sure everything is okay. On a brighter note, Gabby just got groomed and is looking fantastic—unfortunately, we missed getting a post-grooming photo, but we'll be sure to capture her new look for next week's update! Lincoln, as always, is the epitome of joy and carefree living, just happily going about his days and bringing smiles all around.
