Snail mucin has been tested and researched and proven effective for many years. It has shown its abilities to heal and soothe irritated and damaged skin for many studies. Additionally, snail secretion filtrate has demonstrated the ability to work as an anti-aging ingredient, especially in people aged 45-65 years old. If you haven’t tried this cream I highly recommend considering it. If you are vegan there are some similar alternatives using yam root extract.
Loser of the Week -
Tirtir
I guess we may now know how this new brand went from relatively unknown to viral in such a short time… Giving away $$$ purses to their favorite “influencers” is a great way to buy publicity. At this point I’m not sure who I am more disappointed with: Tirtir or the Influencers. What worries me more is the unwitting public being influenced by people who have been paid handsomely to promote their products without transparency. Maybe what is most alarming is the fact that there are brands that sell purses that cost in excess of the average home price in many countries!

About the Dogs
Ike had to visit the vet this week due to a persistent limp that I initially thought would improve with time and rest. However, after some X-rays to rule out broken bones or cancer, it was discovered that he has a separated shoulder causing him to limp and shift his weight to the other side. Interestingly, the X-rays showed that the muscles on one side of his body are much larger because he's been compensating for so long. The vet thinks this issue has been bothering him for a lot longer than we realized, which shows just how tough he is. The solution is a hobble vest, which will arrive on Saturday. Ike will need to wear this vest for two months. I’ll be sure to send photos and updates throughout his recovery. I have a feeling he might not be too thrilled with me for a while...
Meanwhile, Gabby and Lincoln are not too happy about this change. They love to chase and be chased by Ike, so they will need to find new ways to entertain themselves over the next couple of months. It's going to be an adjustment period for all of us, but we're hopeful that Ike will make a full recovery and be back to his playful self soon.
