No BS Bulletin 29

Twenty-Nine

Welcome to Issue 29 of the No BS Beauty Bulletin!

Hello, Beauty Lovers!

This week's newsletter is coming to you all the way from Poland! It's a bit shorter than usual, as I’m busy soaking in the sights, but I’ve still got some juicy beauty updates to share with you. I’ve also included a few vacation photos at the bottom—so keep an eye out for those! Even from abroad, I couldn't resist bringing you the latest skincare buzz, fun product finds, and of course, our winner of the week!

In this issue, we’ve linked some great stories about the growing trend of young girls using anti-aging products they see on social media and the potential risks involved. There’s also a feature on why Iceland is becoming a new skincare hotspot, plus tips for using retinol if you have sensitive skin. On top of that, there’s news about sunscreen warnings for Boomers, and a report showing three popular sunscreen brands failing safety tests. As always, I’ll share my recent purchases, the dogs’ latest adventures, and a quick rundown of this week’s “Winner” and “Loser” products.

Now, let’s get into it!

Juicy Beauty News

👀 What did I buy this week?👀

Don’t tell Cameraman!

About the Dogs

While Cameraman, my dad, and I have been out of town, all the dogs—Gabby, Ike, and Lincoln—have been living it up at my dad’s house with my brother-in-law. He’s been spoiling them rotten with endless treats, constant playtime, and giving them his undivided attention. Honestly, they might be getting more fun there than they do with us!

Every time we come back, they’re not as excited to see us as you’d think. It’s almost like they’re a little disappointed the fun times are coming to an end. I guess after days of being showered with love and attention, they’re not too thrilled about returning to their normal routine. They're definitely making the most of their staycation!

Winner of the Week -
Neutrogena Micellar Cleansing Wipes

These were so handy to bring with for cleansing on the go!  Be careful not to get the scented version if you don’t like fragrance. I was able to bring a pack with me which was much easier then trying to find a mini sized oil cleanser.  Even better,  the wipes are plant based and compostable!  Great for on the go makeup and sunscreen removal.

Loser of the Week -
Christmas in September

Not sure exactly how i feel about this one. I've noticed that some brands have already been releasing their holiday lineup of products.  Costco has also already started to release some of their holiday collections.

Apparently we are going to bypass Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and many other fun and important holidays just to get to the big money maker. Hourglass has also begun releasing their limited edition palettes (with a cost adjustment of $10 for inflation).

The Holiday Season can be one of the more stressful times for many people, especially with the pressure that comes with it to spend big. It is my wish that we can enjoy every day and appreciate Holidays for their biggest importance: time with family & friends.   Try not to be pressured into debt to try to make everyone's wishes come true.

In Case You Missed It

My Favorite Thing of the Week -
This guy made me laugh so much

The Giveaway … The Winner is Darcy P.

This week’s giveaway winner is Darcy P.! Congratulations, Darcy! 🎉 We’ve sent you an email with all the details on how to claim your prize, and we can’t wait for you to enjoy your beauty goodies!

We also want to give a shout-out to last week’s winner, Ricky H., who got in touch with us. Ricky, we appreciate your patience—as we didn’t get your email until after we had already left town. But rest assured, your prize will be on its way as soon as we return. Thanks for your understanding!

Thank you to everyone for your continued participation and support in our giveaways! Keep an eye on your inbox for more chances to win. 😊

Travel Update

I’ve included a few photos from my adventures in Poland for you to enjoy! One of the highlights so far has been stumbling upon a Sephora in Krakow—of course, I had to pop in and check out the local selection, the worst part was I had no cash and Cameraman had the credit card. It’s always fun to see what beauty treasures different countries offer, and I plan on finding more Sephoras as I continue my travels. This is just the beginning, so make sure to check back next week for more updates and photos from my journey!
